Governance
If this is your first time using XPLA Vault, follow the XPLA Vault tutorial.
Governance is an important part of being involved in the XPLA Chain community. Use the following information to learn how to vote on and submit governance proposals in XPLA Vault. For more information on governance and voting options, visit the governance overview.
Vote on a Proposal
Voting is an important way for community members to help the XPLA Chain evolve. Follow these steps to vote with your staked XPLA.
Open XPLA Vault and connect your wallet. In the sidebar, click Governance.
Click on Voting to view the active proposals.
Click on the proposal you want to vote on.
In the upper right corner, click Vote.
Select your vote and enter your password.
Click Submit.
Your vote will be submitted.
Deposit XPLA to a Proposal
Users can vote on a proposal after a minimum deposit of 300 XPLA is reached. To help push a proposal forward to a vote, deposit XPLA to the proposal.
Warning
While most deposits get refunded, some deposits get burned. For more information on which deposits get burned, visit the governance section of the concepts page.
Open XPLA Vault and connect your wallet. In the sidebar, click Governance.
Click on Deposit to view the proposals still in the deposit period.
Click on the proposal you want to deposit to.
In the upper right corner, click Deposit.
Enter the amount of XPLA you want to deposit and enter your password.
Click Submit.
Your deposit will be added to the proposal.
Create a New Proposal
Avoid unnecessary proposals
To prevent unnecessary proposals or abuse of the system, all governance proposals must obtain a minimum deposit of 300 XPLA. If 33.4% of the total vote is NoWithVeto
, quorum
is not met, or the minimum deposit isn’t reached, the deposit will be burned. All other vote outcomes get their deposits refunded. For more information on deposits and refunds, visit the governance overview.
Open XPLA Vault and connect your wallet. In the sidebar, click Governance.
Click on New proposal.

Before uploading any proposal, try to get community feedback on the XPLA Chain Governance forum. The link will be unveiled in the near future. Do not use text proposals to suggest parameter changes. For more information, visit the Governance module reference page.
Select the type of proposal, and enter a title, a description, and the amount of XPLA you want to deposit initially.
Enter your password and click Submit.
Your proposal will enter the two-week deposit period. After a minimum deposit of 300 XPLA has been reached, your proposal will enter a one-week voting period. For more information on governance and voting options, visit the governance overview.
